Bret joined the firm after previously working as a prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and later as a partner at a prominent national litigation defense firm, where he represented Fortune 500 companies, rideshare companies, and insurance companies. Bret specialized in defending high-value catastrophic injury cases. Bret’s defense experience provides him with a unique, insider perspective that allows him to anticipate every move insurance companies and defendants will make and use this knowledge to his clients’ advantage to obtain justice for them and maximize their recovery.
Since moving from the defense side to representing victims of negligence, in a short period of time, Bret has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his clients.

Bret graduated from law school at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007, where he was on the Dean’s List and received an award for the highest grade in Trial Advocacy. Bret graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004, with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies.
Bret lives in Chicago in the Logan Square neighborhood with his wife and two boys.
